The long awaited solo release of percussionist Ben Walsh "Not Computer" as the name states, is a homage to live human takes and the organic sound of percussion. Recorded with long time friend and producer Chris Townend at BJB this album is a retro feast of analogue warmth, with the finest selection of vintage mics and engineering equiptment. Ben creates a virtual percussion ensemble as he maticously layers live takes together to create thick rich grooves. From rolling samba and ragga feels to fast paced jungle and hip hop, ben takes rhythms most commonly ascoiated with computer music and interprets them live as percussive roots based compositions, performing one track entirely with vocal sounds.
