These recordings are direct from the groovelands club nights which focus on bringing the music of the drum back into the club realm. Rhythm is the essence of all great dance music and these selections can deliver some of the funkiest grooves around. A mixture of loops and breaks with a hint of live, there is a direct focus on drum sounds and vocal textures and a departure from synth sounds or electro feels. Very worldy feel but definitely fat and funkafied grooves that are impossible to sit still to, and best yet....... stay tuned for more in the series!!
