GROOVELANDS is an Australian independent label specialising in acoustic, world, jazz, and drum music. This label is initially a platform to launch my own brand of music to people across the globe. Drumming all across Australia and the world has made me realise the vast sea of talent that the land breeds here in Oz.
I have started Groovelands because I believe there is a need to fuel the progression of Australian independent music. Also I hope this website can assist some fellow artists by providing a platform from which they can be heard internationally. Respect

NEW 'CRUSTY' RELEASE OUT SOON! The Crusty Suitcase Band will have a new release out within the next few weeks. This album, the band's first full length release, will follow up the popular 'Old Hat EP'. Mixing and mastering of all tracks at Groovelands Studios has been completed and release is not far away. Stay tuned to this site for further information.
DIGITAL DOWNLOADS We are excited to announce our catalogue for digital downloads is now available. During the next few days we are making available all of our CD's as downloads in MP3, FLAC, and many other formats so you can choose to listen to our artists in whichever format and sound quality you prefer. For the same price, the downloads can be easily imported into ITunes, WMA, VLC, or any other player.
'Aruna' is the first album in a series of three jointly titled 'the Blue Hour' dedicated to the thee stages of dawn or twilight. The album, which features the kotoor and the mellow 'hang' drum, will be available from 20/10/2010 Original cover artwork is by Sandra Walsh.

'Orkestra of the Underground' World Premiere Ben Walsh has pooled the diverse and creative talent of Sydney’s local music scene towards composition projects. His 10-piece eclectic band, 'The Orkestra of the Underground' performed a live score composed and arranged by Ben to projected images from Shaun Tan’s masterpiece of visual storytelling 'The Arrival' to a full house on Saturday 7th August 2010 - Sydney Opera House to a standing ovation from an enthusiastic audience.
